@stake has developed the SmartRisk Analyzer, an automated solution for identifying security vulnerabilities in software applications. Using deep static analysis of the application binary code, SmartRisk Analyzer can map application control and data flow paths into a comprehensive security model. Scans are designed to find flaws related to insecure or improper use of programming languages and standard libraries, flaws that may result from the deployment platform on which the application runs, and other vulnerabilities such as input validation, command and script injection, and backdoors and malware.
9Rays.Net has released Spices.NET 3.5, a set of plug-ins for .NET developers. Spices.NET comes with five components--Obfuscator, Decompiler, Modeler, Investigator and Informer. Spices.Modeler generates diagrams and charts related to various aspects of assembly members. Spices.Investigator is a low-level .NET meta-data and PE-format browser, and Spices.Informer shows information about the currently selected assembly or assembly member.
JGsoft has introduced RegexBuddy, a Windows and Linux utility designed to help you learn, create, understand, test, use, and save regular expressions. With RegexBuddy, instead of typing regex tokens directly, you pick what you want from a descriptive menu. A tree of regex tokens keeps track of the pattern you have built so far, and the RegexBuddy tester and debugger lets you step through the search matches, and get a detailed report about each match. The Windows version of RegexBuddy provides both a command-line interface and a COM automation interface. The Linux version has an API that uses standard input/output to provide the same functionality as the COM interface on Windows.

Once inside, file structure can be analyzed and optimized, spyware tracked down, problems diagnosed, changes made and resources repaired. Version 1.95 now supports removing relocations and debug information from the PE files, adds support for the SSE3 instruction set to the disassembler, and improves the data analysis algorithm.
The Eclipse Foundation has announced availability of Eclipse 3.0, a royalty-free release supports a rich-client platform (RCP) for construction of desktop applications. Enhancements include streamlined installation, improved customization of menus and toolbars, and a restructured the workbench for running underlying program facilities in the background in a multi-threaded environment.

ICEsoft Technologies has announced ICEpdf SDK, a Java SDK for rendering PDF documents. ICEpdf can be used as a standalone document viewer, as a lightweight component tightly integrated into Java applications, or combined with ICEbrowser SDK to view PDF content embedded in HTML. This multi-platform PDF viewer technology supports Embedded TrueType Fonts, Font Substitution, and "ToUnicode CMaps." Typical PDF viewer functionality such as viewing, scaling, navigation, and printing are also supported. PDF documents can also be exported to multiple image formats such as JPG, PNG, or SVG. ICEpdf SDK can be deployed as part of a client application via Java Applet or Web-Start technology, or integrated into a server-side solution as a Servlet.
SQLMemTable from AidAim Software is an in-memory table and query components library for Delphi and C++ Builder. It does not require BDE and provides all the TTable functions, such as master/detail relationship, filtering, searching, sorting, blob fields, key and range methods, as well as some advanced features like blob fields compression and Unicode support. New in Version 2.20, SQL syntax has been enhanced by new options to work with index and ORDER BY clause.
Groove Networks has upgraded its Groove Development Kit (GDK) to version 3.0, supporting the latest version of the Groove peer-to-peer virtual office software. The Groove platform consists of a set of core capabilities--secure data synchronization, activity awareness, and contextual conversation--that can be accessed through the new Groove Forms rapid application development environment, or APIs exposed via .NET and web services.
Excel Software is shipping QuickBugs 2.0, a development tool for reporting, tracking and managing bugs, changes, and user requests.
